Kazakhstan International Energy, Electrical equipment and Machine building Exhibition

Power Kazakhstan - the path to energy innovation

A relevant and priority area of innovative power development’ serves as the main topic of the annual Power Kazakhstan forum, which will be opened on 30 October by Aset Isekeshev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Along with a welcome letter and an opening speech, Mr Isekeshev will deliver a presentation within the forum programme entitled ‘Key technological development programmes for power in Kazakhstan.’

The power forum is once again taking place alongside the Power Kazakhstan exhibition, which has been held for 11 years in Almaty dedicated to energy, electrical equipment and machine building. It is encouraging that the focus of the events has recently expanded to include two further exhibitions at the same venue as Power Kazakhstan - Lighting Kazakhstan on lighting, lighting equipment and LED technologies, and ReEnergy Kazakhstan dedicated to renewable energy sources, energy saving, energy efficiency and resource saving. From 30 October to 1 November, visitors will be presented with 160 companies from 12 countries, including national pavilions from China, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

In total, the Power Kazakhstan forum will feature 28 speakers over four sessions on the following topics: ‘Concepts of innovative development and Kazakhstan’s legislative base’, ‘Energy-efficient technologies for the green economy, economic stimulus for energy-saving and introducing renewable energy sources’, and ‘Heat and power engineering, applied innovative developments and environmental protection’.

Delegations from the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic will travel to Almaty, and Russian companies, which will take up a third of the exhibition, are also showing great activity and interest in Kazakhstan’s market. The direct participation of a group of companies from Novosibirsk will be organised at Power Kazakhstan 2012, headed up by the Department of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Novosibirsk Mayor’s Office and the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“The dynamic growth of the power industry, and the wide prospects of introducing and using new equipment and technology, are bringing attention to Power Kazakhstan from leading Kazakhstani, Russian and international companies operating in power and power engineering, as well as from representatives of government bodies and commercial structures. I am confident that the exhibition will promote the creation of favourable conditions for future power industry development, the establishment of business contacts, the expansion of sales markets, the creation of joint ventures and the promotion of investment projects, technologies and equipment,” said Alexander Yakovlev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his welcome letter to exhibitors.

“I can confidently say that Power Kazakhstan gains momentum every year and that it is becoming an international platform for discussing topical issues of the domestic power industry. It should also be noted that along with the power forum, the wide-ranging business programme of the events will also feature a tightly-packed schedule of company seminars and presentations. Total visitor numbers have increased by 36% compared to last year, and such rapid growth of the Power Kazakhstan exhibition clearly shows the positive achievements of Kazakhstan - significantly, Kazakhstani companies make up around a half of the exhibition,” said Gulzana Abdysharipova, Project Manager at Iteca.

The exhibitions are organised by the Kazakhstani exhibitions company Iteca together with ITE Group, GiMA (Germany) and ITE China.
