10 small hydroelectric power stations will be built in South Kazakhstan

Webp.net resizeimage 310 small hydroelectric power stations will be built in South-Kazakhstan region. Bukharbai Parmanov, Akim of Tolebi district, reported this at a press conference in the Regional Communication Service.

According to the press service of the regional Akimat, B. Parmanov, having informed about the work done and the nearest plans of the district, noted that in the near future 10 large and small electric power stations with a capacity of 20 MW will be built in Tolebi region to develop alternative energy sources.

Along with this, in the current year along the upper lake Aksu and Sairam, a hydroelectric power station for the production of 5 MW of electric power will be put into operation; the volume of investments is 1.5 billion tenge.

Akim of Tolebi district reported that as a result of the successful implementation of the state programs, the economy of the region and the level of vital activity of the population have improved noticeably.

“This year the volume of the district budget has amounted to 17 billion tenge. Gross regional product for four months of this year has made up 20 billion tenge. The volume of investments directed to the fixed assets has amounted to 1808.9 million tenge, which is 104.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Also in the industry for 4 months of this year, production output amounted to 7 million 456 thousand tenge. Among them in the sphere of processing, production output amounted to 6 billion tenge. Its share in the industry makes up 87.9 per cent,” said the Akim.
