Please allow me to greet you at the opening of the 8th International Power & Lighting Exhibition and POWER KAZAKHSTAN 2009 Forum held within the framework of the Exhibition.
President of Kazakhstan has repeatedly stressed in his speeches that power industry is the most essential element of economic growth and social development of the country, and addressed to the people, Parliament, and Government with the initiative of country-wide energy saving, consistent strengthening of strategically vital power sector segments, and employment of renewable energy technologies. Therefore, this yet another power exhibition organised by the famous ITECA is of exceptional importance.
In their selection of equipment for new plants and for upgrading old ones, energy and industrial companies, public authorities, and entrepreneurs pay an increasingly growing attention to energy-saving technologies. Energy saving is not only investment saving, fast return on investment made in new production, but also cutting down of power resources deficit, increased energy efficiency of production, and increased energy and environmental security of the country.
